Immer mehr Bereiche unseres Lebens sind von der Digitalisierung betroffen: vom Arbeitsplatz über das Gesundheitswesen bis zu staatlichen Dienstleistungen. Angesichts des rasanten technologischen Wandels fragen wir, was wir tun können und sollen, damit niemand von der Digitalisierung zurückgelassen wird. Welche technischen und kritischen Kompetenzen müssen Bildungsinstitutionen (Schulen, Universitäten, Bibliotheken) ihren Lernenden vermitteln? Welche Verantwortung tragen Unternehmen und staatliche Institutionen gegenüber den Arbeitnehmenden? Wie gestalten wir die Digitalisierung so, dass sie Barrieren für ältere Menschen oder Menschen mit Behinderungen abbaut statt schafft? Und wann sollten wir analoge Lösungen digitalen vorziehen?

Description
De plus en plus d’aspects de notre vie sont touchés par la numérisation : du lieu de travail aux systèmes de santé ou aux services publics. Face au rythme rapide du changement technologique, nous nous demandons ce que nous pouvons et devons faire pour que personne ne soit laissé de côté par la numérisation. Quelles compétences techniques et critiques les institutions éducatives (écoles, universités, bibliothèques) doivent-elles transmettre à leurs apprenant·e·s ? Quelle est la responsabilité des entreprises et des institutions publiques envers les travailleurs et travailleuses ? Comment façonner la numérisation pour qu’elle supprime les barrières pour les personnes âgées ou en situation de handicap plutôt que d’en créer ? Et quand devrions-nous privilégier des solutions analogiques plutôt que numériques ?

Description
More and more aspects of our lives are impacted by digitization: from the workplace, to healthcare systems, or government services. Given the fast pace of technological change, we ask what we can and should do to make sure that no one is left behind by digitization. What are the technical and critical skills educational institutions (schools, universities, libraries) have to teach their students? What is the responsibility of companies and government institutions with respect to the workforce? How do we shape digitization such that it removes rather than creates barriers for elderly or people with disabilities? And when should we choose analogue solutions over digital ones?
