Session 1: Lessons for the digital state
The digital transformation poses various challenges for the state, which can only be overcome through collaboration. In the session “Lessons for the digital state” we ask ourselves, among other things: What lessons has the state learned on the path of digital transformation? What should the state still learn, and what role do innovative state, civil society or private sector actors play in this?

Session 2: Digitalisation for society - Have the opportunities offered by digitalisation been underused in the management of Coronavirus?
The time to take stock has not yet come, but the question arises: Did we properly use the potential of digital tools in the Corona crisis? Could we have used digital tools and data more quickly, more frequently and more intensively? Will the Corona crisis shift the balance between protection of fundamental rights on the one hand and collection of data in the interest of society as a whole by private and state actors on the other?

Digital governance includes aspects of inclusion and the digital economy. For the future, it is indispensable to reach all “digital stakeholders” and to give the digital economy sufficient legal certainty. Stakeholders who have so far been little or not at all part of the discussion on digital governance should also have their say.
