A kind of ‘digital concerns barometer’ – The Swiss IGF ‘Call for Issues’ on concern about digital developments in Switzerland
In a kind of ‘digital concerns barometer’, the Swiss IGF has been regularly launching a public call for issues for several years now, showing which digital topics are of most concern to the various stakeholder groups in Switzerland and therefore demand a public discussion.
The most recent survey, conducted at the beginning of 2024, identified the biggest digital challenges at the moment, namely
- The use and regulation of artificial intelligence, both internationally and nationally, and in relation to the challenge of disinformation
- Contemporary cybersecurity requirements and their political significance
- Sustainability thanks to or despite digitalisation
- Inclusive access to digital technologies
- Secondary use of data and the increasing importance of the data economy for companies and the state
- Fundamental rights and ethical requirements for electronic identification
These topics will be discussed accordingly with all stakeholders at the Swiss IGF 2024.
